Samsung has struggled with power efficiency and performance with its past few Exynos platforms, but took a big step forward with this year’s SoC. And if the new story is to be believed, it could surpass Qualcomm’s top product by 2025.
The Exynos 2500 will be better in terms of power efficiency and smoother performance than its competitor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, according to PandaFlashPro’s X (formerly known as Twitter).
This year’s Exynos 2400 may keep up with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but Samsung’s apparently got a lot of improvements over its American rival. While the Exynos 2500 will be built with 3 nm process technology, the fourth generation Snapdragon 8 will stick to 4 nm, thus giving the Korean manufacturer an edge
Previous reports suggested that Samsung is preparing two major chipset variants: the Exynos 2500-A with an eight-core CPU for smartphones and the Exynos 2500-B with a 10-core CPU for tablets, Galaxy Book laptops
We have also heard that Samsung may use Google’s Tensor Processing Unit instead of its own NPU, but it is too early to confirm any of these rumors.
